“Application of the 5's methodology within the process of continuous improvement to reduce times by 25%.”
MAIN OBJETIVE
Reduce process times and pertinently apply the 5's philosophy by carrying out a time study and dissemination and training corresponding to 5's, in order to serve clients (internal and external) and suppliers more quickly, without having any loss of documents or monitoring of activities.
BACKGROUND
In order to make the decision to develop the project, the people responsible for the department observed that there was a great loss of time in the processes which translates into loss of time that can be used either to tend to more customers or complete the backlog and thus gain the incentives of other branches of the company which means more income to the company so it was taken as a more efficient decision to start the project.
For this the first thing was to make an inspection sheet where they raised in a concrete way the areas of opportunity and was location of the company in Aguascalientes. able to demonstrate that some processes the time it took to perform each of them was too strenuous considering the naturalness of the process, in addition to the above mentioned it should be noted that some papers and I or processes did not even come to be made because the loss of documents in addition to the lack of standardization caused it.

The map was removed by the editors for copyright reasons being thus its main clients all those people who can and need the service in the city of Aguascalientes.

THEORETICAL FRAME
A Gantt chart is a useful tool for planning projects. By providing you with an overview of the scheduled tasks, all parties involved will know which tasks need to be completed and by which date.
Normally, a Gantt chart contains the following elements:
1. Dates: The start and end dates allow project managers to have a vision of when the entire project will start and end.
2. Tasks: projects consist of a series of sub-tasks. With a Gantt chart, you can keep track of these sub-tasks so that none are delayed or forgotten.
3. Time frames: the diagram shows when each task should be carried out. It will help you ensure that each sub-task is completed on schedule and that the entire project is completed on time.
4. Interdependent tasks: some tasks can be carried out at any time, while others must be completed before or after another task begins or ends. These tasks that are dependent on others can be indicated on a Gantt chart.
5. Progress: The diagram shows you exactly how your project is progressing by providing a representation of the tasks that have already been completed. By indicating the current date, you will get an overview of how much remains to be done and see if everything proceeds as planned in order to complete the project on time.
The flowchart or also activity diagram is a way to graphically represent an algorithm or a process of some nature, through a series of structured and linked steps that allow its review as a whole.
The graphic representation of these processes uses, in the flow diagrams, a certain series of geometric figures that represent each specific step of the process being evaluated. These pre-defined shapes are connected to each other by arrows and lines that mark the direction of flow and establish the path of the process, as if it were a map.
The 5S methodology was created in Toyota in the 1960s and groups together a series of activities that are developed with the aim of creating working conditions that allow work to be carried out in an organized, orderly and clean manner. These conditions are created by reinforcing good habits of behavior and social interaction, creating an efficient and productive working environment.
The methodology of the 5S is of Japanese origin, and is named in such a way that the first letter of the name of each of its stages is the letter ese (s).
SMED is the English acronym for Single Minute Exchange of Die, which in Spanish means "cambio de matriz en menos de 10 minutos". The SMED was born from the need to reduce the size of the batches that passed through the stamping presses, optimizing the changeover time used to go from one die to another.
Today the SMED is applied to the preparations of all kinds of machines.
In order to talk about SMED, it is useful to have a series of clear concepts:
- Changeover time: This is the time from when the last part of the outgoing product is manufactured to the first OK part of the incoming product. Therefore, during the changeover time the machine is stopped.
- Preparation: Operations required for the reference change. All preparation is waste (MUDA), as it does not provide value for the customer.
- Internal preparation: preparation operations that can only be carried out when the machine is stopped.
- External setup: setup operations that can be performed while the machine is running
Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) was born in the United States in the late 1940s. This methodology, developed by NASA, was created with the purpose of evaluating the reliability of the equipment, as it determines the effects of its failures
The AMEF procedure can be applied to:
Products: The AMEF applied to a product serves as a predictive tool to detect possible failures in the design, increasing the probability of anticipating the effects that they may have on the user or in the production process.
Processes: AMEF applied to processes serves as a predictive tool to detect possible failures in the production stages, increasing the probabilities of anticipating the effects they may have on the user or in later stages of each process.
Systems: AMEF applied to systems serves as a predictive tool to detect possible failures in the software design, increasing the probabilities of anticipating the effects they may have on its operation. Others: AMEF can be applied to any process in general where failures are to be identified, classified and prevented by analyzing their effects, and whose causes must be documented.
The SWOT analysis is a strategic planning tool, designed to perform an internal (Strengths and Weaknesses) and external (Opportunities and Threats) analysis in the company. From this point of view the word SWOT is an acronym created from each initial letter of the terms mentioned above.
METHODOLOGY
Here we describe the process that was carried out to realize the project, the description of equipment, techniques, methods, etc. The methodology should be presented in sequential order. The primary objective is to provide the reader with detailed information about how the study was conducted. The methodology should be presented in such a way that another person can reproduce One of the tools that I used the most to be able to know in a more precise way and in addition to this what is more important in a sequential way of how they are made was the flow chart where it was possible to know in a gradual way the process this tool was used more than once since the processes to study were several

Once the processes were a little more digested by me it was necessary to carry out a study that would help as an approach of first stay to the diverse topics that the company would present and to be able to carry out this analysis it was necessary to carry out a SWOT

The realization of the SMED was carried out in two processes which are
- measurement of the tanks with a strip
- gasoline tankard
In the first case, the process is important because it marks a point of supply when a purchase order must be generated to fill the tanks since otherwise there would not be a 100% real account of gasoline levels.
In the second process, the reason for application is more related to clients, but mainly to UVA (Aguascalientes Verification Unit), which is responsible for providing PROFECO with specific data to ensure that the company has certification or a seal that the amount it says it sells is in fact the amount sold.

Thanks to Smed's study, this process, which had already taken approximately 1 hour, had been reduced by 58 minutes, which means that the time needed to carry out the process had been reduced by 16% to 49 minutes. the following table clearly shows how the new time column (blue) is far below the previous time (orange).

RESULTS ANALYSIS

Here it is clearly shown how in time it is being reduced considerably By having such an impact the salary of the external personnel which is paid per closed hour per month is clearly affected generating savings in matters of salary costs as shown in the following graph Savings in wages
Abbildung in dieser Leseprobe nicht enthalten
Showing the savings generated only in salaries of external personnel per month against the savings of the payment of external personnel but per year.
The following graph shows the savings but this time it is being generated referring to internal staff this to have to make the process should close the clinic so that the product is no longer sold on average a dispensary sells 25,000 pesos of the litres of gasoline, the data being as follows:
Abbildung in dieser Leseprobe nicht enthalten
Thus showing that the savings from interrupting your shift for less time is up to 13125 in one month.
