The European competitions have a big standing in Europe and decide which team is the best in Europe. But it is quite difficult to compare the leagues and their teams, some are successful because of a rich owner and others have a good business situation.
In the following essay I will give you the answer to the question why the German Bundesliga is the best football league in the world and why clubs and leagues in other European countries are in a financial quagmire. The first argument why the Bundesliga is the best league in the world is the financial situation of the league and of the clubs. The Bundesliga generates a sale in the season 2008/2009 of 1.6 billion euro, that is a accretion of 10 percent to the season 2007/2008. The other leagues in Europe have not this boost. But the Bundesliga has not the best sale in Europe, the list is headed by the English Barclays Premier League (2.3 billion), second is the Bundesliga and third is the Spanish Primera Division and the Italian Seria A with about 1.5 billion.
Besides that the sales numbers in the Deloitte study also analyzed the profitability of the leagues. The Bundesliga, which last year secured the position of the most profitable league, was able to identify the financial year 2009/10, the highest profits. With 138 million euro profit (2008/09: EUR 172 million) and an operating margin of eight percent lead, the Bundesliga priors to the Barclays Premier League, which generates an operating profit of 101 million Euros. The French Ligue 1 ended the fiscal year, however, with an operating loss of 102 million Euros, the Italian Serie A even with a loss of 110 million Euros.

"European football leagues in England, Spain and Italy threaten profitability due to enormous gaps in the next two years of bankruptcy."(Sponsors 1.8.2010) This is the result of a study by management consultancy AT Kearney, based on a sustainability benchmark marketing analysis of the five largest football leagues in Europe. To determine the economic sustainability of the major European leagues, the central figures in sales, equity ratio and return on investment of the clubs and leagues have been investigated.
The main reason for the predicted negative trend in the sum of the negative investment returns are given by minus five percent in the Barclays Premier League, from minus seven percent in the Spanish Primera División and even minus twelve percent in the Italian Serie A.
Just in the past season, these five leagues earned a decrease of 560 million Euros. The positive exceptions in the study are the German Bundesliga clubs and the clubs of the French Ligue 1. Only these two football leagues have in the sum a positive return on investment.

Bundesliga with a new attendance record, this message is to read almost every year. Overall, all games in the Bundesliga in the season 2009/2010, were visited by 13.057.899 fans. This means that for the third time in the history of the Bundesliga more than 13 million fans have been in the stadiums.
On average there were 42.673 visitors in the stadium this season. Thus, the German Bundesliga remains one step ahead and is well ahead of the Premier League, which comes to an average of 34.151 spectators. At third in favor of the audience follows the Italian Serie A with 27.566 visitors, then the Spanish Primera Division (25.282 spectators) and the French Ligue 1 (20.086 spectators).

The Uefa coefficient is an indicator of the performance of clubs at European level. They decide how many teams can participate in European competitions. Besides the fame it is also about the money which is sufficient to earn in the European competitions. And also there the German Bundesliga is on the fast track.
From the 2012/13 season on, Germany has an additional place in the Champions League. The League is not as international as the past eleven years. This means that the German champion, the twittering and the third straight start in the Champions League. The fourth has the qualifications. Also the fifth and sixth, as well as the Cup winner play in the Europe League. This is possible because the German League has overtaken the Italian League.
Now the German League is at the 3rd place behind the English- and Spanish League. Continuously, the clubs of the Bundesliga in recent years have approached themselves with good international results to the European top.
