Die Integration von Enterprise Integration Systems (EIS) ist besonders für große und dynamische Firmen wichtig (vgl. Izza, 2009, S. 1), um der steigenden Vernetzungskomplexität gerecht zu werden. Ziel ist die Entwicklung eines anwendungs-, abteilungs- und plattformübergreifenden Informationssystems. Die vorliegende Arbeit untersucht Technologien der syntaktischen Anwendungsintegration und vergleicht sie mit semantischen Integrationstechnologien, um Potentiale und Risiken der Entwicklung zu identifizieren.
