Dr. Martin Holzer

Dr. Martin Holzer Riquelme has a 26 years background in policing, from being a bobby on the beat in Germany to working in international policing such as the EU-Agency Frontex. With his research he critically considered how police culture (action and risk-oriented) relates to emerging safety culture in operational policing (seeking to manage or eliminate risks). Martin now works for the German Embassy in Quito, Ecuador. As an enthusiastic academic, Dr Martin Holzer Riquelme regularly serves as a peer reviewer for scientific journals (so far OUP, T&F and Qeios), mostly in the field of health and safety at work.
