Gegen das Profitdenken der Profitwelt wird sich in der Sozialen Arbeit gewehrt und damit das
„Managementdenken“ (Badelt 1997, S. 123) in Frage gestellt. In Nonprofit Organisationen
steht jedoch die Erreichung eines gesetzten Ziel im Vordergrund und auch dort müssen
Menschen motiviert und angeleitet werden. Da dies notwendigerweise mit Planung und
Kontrolle verbunden ist, ist an dieser Stelle festzuhalten: „NPOs sind ohne Management nicht
denkbar.“ (ebd.)
Entscheidend für die Funktionsfähigkeit einer Organisation, sind die Regelung und Verteilung
der Aufgaben und Kompetenzen und die Regelung und Optimierung der Arbeitsabläufe,
innerhalb der Organisation. Diese Gestaltung der Arbeitsteilung und Arbeitsabwicklung sind
Aufgabe der Aufbau- bzw. Ablauforganisation und die Kenntnis über deren Funktionen und
Ziele, damit basal für das Verständnis, wie eine Organisation funktioniert.
Im Folgenden wird zunächst das Arbeitsthema der Hausarbeit näher erläutert, um dann in
einem folgenden Schritt, die zentralen Begriffe des Arbeitsthemas näher zu bestimmen.
