It is obvious that law and morality both seek our piece of mind and justice. As a description in the Oxford Dictionary law is the system of rules which a particular country or community recognizes as regulating the actions of its members and which it may enforce by the imposition of penalties. Law establishes this with the enforcements and punishments if you step over the lines shaped by laws. Morality which is described in Oxford Dictionary as: morality is the differentiation of intentions, decisions, and actions between those that are distinguished as proper and those that are improper also has punishments for bad acts and rewards for good acts like guilt and denouncement for crimes and praise. These two phenomenons might seem very diverse but they have one obvious thing in common: they affect the way we live.
The problem is that it is inevitable to say that there is a huge conflict between law and morality and this conflict shows itself on some specific examples. In today’s world some of the law experts may claim that law is absolute. Its importance is over all other regulators like morality. However the conflict between them proves that moral principles are still stronger than legal principles for some cases. Although today one can argue that as long as law permits certain social practices such as same-sex marriage, abortion and legislation of prostitution should not be considered as legally wrong, they are moral problems of modern world, which proves that moral principles are still stronger than legal principles.

Chapter Summaries
Introduction: The introduction establishes the central conflict between law and morality, arguing that while both aim for peace and justice, their practical application often clashes. The author posits that although law might appear absolute in modern society, moral principles still exert considerable influence, particularly concerning issues like same-sex marriage, abortion, and the legalization of prostitution. The text previews an examination of these issues to illustrate this conflict and demonstrate the enduring strength of moral considerations.
Abortion: This section delves into the highly debated issue of abortion, highlighting its complex entanglement of medical, religious, and legal considerations. The author frames the debate around the moral and legal status of the fetus, questioning when life begins and whether abortion constitutes murder. While acknowledging the legal permissibility of abortion in some jurisdictions, the text presents counterarguments based on the moral status of the fetus, arguing that even if abortion is legal, it remains a morally complex act with significant implications for the woman's moral responsibility and the potential violation of the fetus's right to life. The text emphasizes the inherent conflict between the legal right to abortion and the moral implications of terminating a pregnancy.
Legislation of Prostitution: This section discusses the legalization of prostitution in various countries, specifically contrasting the legal permissibility with its moral implications. While noting that many European nations have legalized the practice, often without permitting related organizations like brothels, the author highlights the moral arguments against prostitution. These arguments center on the violation of physical and moral integrity, the potential for exploitation and violence, and the increased risks of sexually transmitted diseases, including AIDS. The section argues that even when legal, prostitution poses significant moral concerns and contradicts widely held moral values concerning bodily autonomy, health, and the avoidance of harm. The text illustrates the ongoing tension between the legality of prostitution and the moral arguments against its practice.
