The aim of the report is to study the feasibility of manufacturing a product from the available resources with the minimum cost of time, resources, and least human intervention to overcome the market demands swiftly as well as maximize the shareholders' profits.
Manufacturing plays a great role in the world’s economic and supports many countries financially. Hence finding a way of having smart manufacturing that minimize the cost of resources to increase the profit is essential and it will be the core of this report.
Smart manufacturing system can be defined as a mixture of integration from traditional systems of manufacturing with information technology. In smart manufacturing systems, the production of certain products, requires the various products specifications, and the corresponding manufacturing process plans. The plans include the resources required to create the production such as robots, machine tools, inspection or inspection stations that are required to implement the product specifications, as well as how to orchestrate them. I have participated in the current SURE related work project with Dr. Danielle
S. team. The current project SURE presents a model-based approach to the automatic generation of manufacturing process plans from the model of target products and available resources.
