The study examined staff recruitment, procedures and organizational productivity; identified the recruitment pattern used in selecting staff in Ijebu North Local Government; examined the influence of the management on recruitment and selection process in Ijebu North Local Government; examined the effects of poor recruitment pattern on organizational productivity.
The major instrument used for the data collection was the simple random technique which was used to select the staff of Ijebu North metropolis. The study population comprised One hundred and thirty-six (136) respondents selected from Ijebu North Local Government, those that are willing to participate in the study. The respondents included the staffs in the Local Government.
The result of the findings revealed that recruitment and selection criteria have significant effect on organization’s productivity. It identified the use of proper selection device which increased the probability of a person chosen to fill a slot which brought about productivity increment.
